The AIARE 1 is a decision making course for backcountry travelers wanting to learn to manage their personal and group risk and conduct the most effective companion rescue possible in the event of an accident.

Bucky's Bonfire is a weekly family friendly event held in front of the Chalet at June Mountain. The festivities kick off with fun, lively music from the Chalet deck, a bonfire followed by an appearance from the Buckster.

As the sun sets in the west, the sky above the Mammoth Lakes Basin can take on an almost magical appearance we refer to as alpenglow. Different hues of blue, pink and white sometimes present themselves on the surrounding mountains and lower foothills of the region creating a truly exceptional experience.
