Current Driving Conditions & Travel Alerts

Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding areas in the Eastern Sierra Mountains are known for having fast-changing weather patterns. Storms can come out of nowhere and if you aren’t prepared, they can ruin your vacation. Refer to the links below for an updated status of everything from construction to weather closures.

Use the CalTrans road conditions page to search for road conditions by searching the highways you’ll be driving on, including Hwy. 395, Hwy. 203, Hwy. 158, Hwy. 120 and other U.S. and California roadways throughout the state.

For current conditions of local roads servicing recreational facilities, including Reds Meadow/Devils Postpile and Convict Lake, please see the Inyo National Forest’s Recreation Report for Mammoth Lakes.
