One of my most favorite times of the year is upon us. Winter is a magical season in the Eastern Sierra. After the astonishing colors of fall, the landscape transforms to a soft and glistening white winter wonderland. The sun takes on a unique glow…a different kind of light that says “Winter is here”. It is a special time to enjoy the warmth of home, while warming by a beautiful fire with family and friends and being inspired to focus on cooking and sharing and the cozy things that make one appreciate our amazing winter wonderland. Of course, hitting our world-class slopes or the cross-country ski, snowshoe and snowmobile trails will also be on the agenda for many who live here or visit. The winter holidays are my favorite, by far, and my special time to enjoy being here in this special place. Enjoy this wonderful time and have a most Happy New Year!
